Sue and Christina This past weekend some of us attended the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s annual conference, held at Greenwich Old Royal Naval College this year. Marketing director Lyn gave a well-attended talk on the Saturday, answering questions about all aspects of Choc Lit, and she will no doubt be inundated [...] The soundtrack of Turning the Tide ranged from Scissors Sisters to South Pacific via sea shanties, Stereophonics and a little dash of Elvis. That was the mood music playing in my head, although I can’t listen to anything with lyrics when I actually write because I find it too distracting. I’ve mentioned before that voice is [...] Built with me in mind, my workspace is designed with everything (except, perhaps, a Velcro chair) to keep my backside stuck firmly at my seat and therefore at my workstation. Above me is a framed painting given to me by my husband at a very tough time. To the right there’s a Rothko-a-like painted by him [...] Look what the postman just delivered! For someone who’s supposed to be able to tell you about these things in words, I’m really struggling to describe the feeling of seeing everything I’ve worked and hoped for come together. I needn’t have worried; this is the RNA after all!
