The Big Red Read is an initiative by Redbridge Libraries to get people to read more and each year they invite authors to visit their libraries as part of their Book and Media Festival. They also give readers the opportunity to vote for their favourite book, out of a specially chosen shortlist, and this year Sue Moorcroft (with Want to Know a Secret), Juliet Archer (with The Importance of Being Emma) and I (Christina Courtenay with The Scarlet Kimono) have all been lucky enough to be shortlisted!
We would be very grateful for your votes, so if you’d like to vote for one (or all) of us, please just send an e-mail to bigredreadvoting@visionrcl.org.uk – voting starts today! (For more information and the full shortlist check out The Big Red Read website here ). Voting closes on 10th September and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony in October as part of the East London Libraries Festival.
Thank you!
